President
Philip Chu
is the owner and operator of Technicat, LLC
in
Huntington Beach, CA,
providing
software consulting and developing services, and developing games
under the Fugu Games label.
His career has spanned corporate research and development, defense and government projects, computer graphics, video games, and dot-com startups (see worthless stock certificate).
Phil's education includes bachelors and masters degrees in computer science and engineering from MIT and Johns Hopkins University, respectively.
Phil enjoys writing and, in addition to tech briefs for a Boston press relations firm, a white paper published by the Nintendo Software Development Group, and the software essays on this site, has contributed one line to a published video game and written voiceover dialogue for three levels of a cancelled game. He has belatedly started blogging.
The accompanying portrait of Oliver Wendell Jones was kindly provided and autographed by Berkeley Breathed at Iowa City West High School, where Phil discovered the Apple II and learned to program in study hall.
